Parkrun. Cool, moist and still. Basically excellent conditions. Went off too fast, trying to stay with Jimmy Hudson which didn't seem and unreasonable plan. But unravelled later on 3:36 45 50 4:00 4:06
(but passed baronmax at halfway and pulled away...)

Orienteering race 40:11 [3] 4.8 mi (8:22 / mi)

ESOC cati at Dalmeny. 2/37 2 mins down of Helen Bridle. Vet women seem to win all the local events nowadays.
No big errors, bit scrappy, felt a bit unstable on the legs, especially climbing fences.

Bottled it. On the way to recovery, but there's an alarming number of people with hard-to-shake-off infections at the moment, at least that's the excuse. Really ought to look for a replacement race in the spring.

Nice course, with some tricky long legs, the first one rather spoilt by the best route being off the map and me being a bit overhonest.

Haven't felt so awful orienteering in ages, balance completely off and couldn't get going. Something is awry.

Midland Champs M50 5/37. Abrahams valley (small bit of)
Standard nice Cannock Chase fare. No quarry detail. Tried hard, but legs not really playing, just wobbly. 3 min error in the green, went in without knowing exactly where I was, and paid the price. But it only cost one place - 9.5 mins down on Clive.

Southern champs at sheepleas. Never got into it, then got stuck in unmapped brambles on an 8 min parallel error. Generally losing time by going round when straight was faster, even through the walk. Last section of low viz control pick was quite fun.
