Orienteering 6:00:00 [4] *** 12.3 mi (29:16 / mi) +625m 25:17 / mi
shoes: Montrail Cont. Divide

Rogaine training with TomO at French Creek. In part, a trial run of equipment choices--CD shoes were pretty comfy, but might be trouble in rocks and at night, but hiking boots would get tiring after a while. Pack wasn't all that comfortable--may need to do something with straps. Hard to get enough water on a hot day with just tube (or at least the way I was using it).
Seriously underestimating 50m intervals in denser woods. Walking on 1:30 map, pretty consistent at 5min per cm (and born out over entire walk after figuring for stops and such--5.4min/cm)

Road Running 35:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:45 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 740

Around the block--I was planning on going further, but my ankle (really more like my lower leg) was alarmingly painful when I started running. Threw in a couple of short walks and the pain seemed less when I finished--which I hope wasn't just those natural pain killers kicking in.

Walk 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Vasque Velocity

Brisk walk for an hour while Bailey was at 4H. Mostly trying to get ankle strengthened back up again.
