Strength & Conditioning (Weights) 1:00:00 [2]

Strength session; same shit, different day.

Strength & Conditioning (Core Stability) 30:00 [1]

Event: SN Trophy

Orienteering race 1:04:00 [5] 12.1 km (5:17 / km)

Southern Navigators Trophy, Long Valley.

Pretty standard army training area in the south. Still pretty easy to lose time though. Controls in pits were hung nice and low. Running across the tank tracks with lightgreen in between it was important to keep your direction. Some good long legs with tricky ends, some bad long legs with easy ends. A really nice bunch of 6 short legs in a row in the detailed bit. GG got caught out by Fangorn.

Running 30:00 [3]

We pooter about town, whacked in a couple of "hill" reps for a laugh. Air was well cold, felt like I was breathing blood. Probably all the smoking I've been doing.

Strength & Conditioning (Core) 30:00 [3]

Realised it's been ages since I did a core session, so managed to get a quick set in just before midnight. Makes today look a bit better than what it actually was.

Note

Went for a wee 5 min jog in the morning, wasn't happy with my knee, so stayed at home and did some work. Yay.

Reps / Tempo intervals 42:00 [5]

It's my favourite day of the year!!!... Thursday. Jogged over into ememy territory at Mountbatten School, put the spikes and and went for it. Was suprised to see some other fat jogger out, it was 9am on Christmas day, what the hell were they doing. There was also a massive lack of kids with new bikes/skateboards/roller-blades/things-you-do-outside. Lazy gits. Battenberg fields are a wee bit smaller than the killing fields, so I had to figure-of-eight it to get the distance in, worked out just abit longer than 4mins.

Oregon Reps: 4 x 4mins, 4 x 3 mins, 50% recovery.

Planned Running warm up/down 25:00 [3]

Running 40:00 [3]

Easy running about town in the evening. Usually this would be a nice 5m round the Meadows & Links, but I had to settle for hard roads and housing estates. Isn't South England just the best?! My knee doesn't seem pleased with the insane about (2) of road running I've been doing, and got a little sore. So I took it easy and gave it a wee bit of ice when I got back.

I'm now a Laird, with vast hunting estates in Lochaber. Legit!

Running 45:00 [3]

Run round the edge of town. Not much has changed. I could smell cows.
