Lifting - 5 bags of "fun size" candy bars off the shelf
Tearing - open the wrappers of many of those "fun size" candy bars
Throwing - the balled up wrappers from the "fun size" candy bars across the room and into the waste basket

orienteering race 1:14:43 [4]

Green X at Mt. Tom. Major mess at #3 - otherwise ok. Ran well for the last 4 controls. I wish I had run Blue again today. More time in the woods on a day like today would have been welcome and I really enjoy the lack of pressure I feel when I'm on Blue.

Spent a couple of hours at home at the top of a very big ladder caulking the new trim on the house. Reward was Bonnie's home made lasagna and apple pie.

orienteering race 2:21:14 [4]

Blue course at Mt. Tom. I was slow but much more accurate than I have been recently. One major f up on 11-12. Especially pleased to see that my route choice on 16-17 was identical to PG's. It was the type of leg that I normally screw up big time. Had the pleasant experience of spiking a few controls that much younger, fitter runner's missed. Felt nice to be accurate in the circle, even if it did take me twice as long to cover the distance between. Pleased to say that I was NOT LAST in M21 today.

hiking 41:00 [2]

To and from Keeney Park and did the southern loop of the Leadership Trail which has not been maintained. Had to climb over lots of blown down trees.

orienteering 1:10:00 [3]

Approximate total of time spent hanging and retrieving controls at Sessions Woods meet today. Decent turnout, excellent weather for O. Use of "old' maps caused a little confusion but no major problems. Had several groups of enthusiastic beginners, including the a great group of Cub Scouts who actually paid attention to what they were doing and enjoyed it enough to go out for a yellow course, too.

Hanging controls for tomorrow's meet.

track 23:54 [3]

To the high school track after work to see what type of pace I could maintain for a few miles. Turns out that 8 min/mile is barely possible.
I took these splits without being able to read my watch in the low light

orienteering 3:56:00 [2]

Putting streamers on the rest of the control locations for next weekend at Sessions Woods and then re-ran the red course to check my work from last weekend. Hoping for weather like today for next Sunday.

Just found out that I won't be able to make it to Hollis tomorrow for the O-Ringen. Bummer.
