Explored all of the trails at Great Pond in South Glastonbury. Interesting terrain. Huge cedar trees. Muggy and buggy. Constant noise from dirt bikes that were racing on the other side of the Connecticut River in Rocky Hill. Wonder if the people who built million dollar homes nearby knew how noisy it would be.

Walk back to the car from the end of the trail run. Wen't by the falls which were more impressive than usual because of 3 days of rain.
At Nathan Hale SF - outer loop clockwise followed by some of the inner mountain bike single track. Legs OK - a few toes on the left foot fell asleep for the final 30 min.
Outermost loop at Nathan Hale SF counterclockwise. Cool and dry conditions and a couple of easy days on Tuesday and Wednesday combined to make this a great run. Ran all the hills. Got faster as the run went on. Very encouraged by how well this went.
Back roads to Wright Orchard in Tolland. Bought 10 pounds of Honey Crisp apples, stuffed them in backpack and rode home. Uphills back to Rte. 195 crossing were very tough.
Shenipsit Trail from Rte. 31 to Belding - 2 times around outer loop at Belding and back to Rte. 31. Legs felt much stronger than usual. Perfect weather - cool and dry.
At Natchaug. Added the unmapped trail from the Horse Camp north to the gas pipeline, Beaver Swamp and beyond to the road. Discovered the beginnings of 2 more unmapped trails I will need to explore and add later. Last day of my vacation.
Checking out potential control locations and adding unmapped trails in the southern part of Natchaug east of Pine Acres Lake. Fabulous day to be in the woods.
