Short Advanced course at Alasa Farms. Did the course with trailsnail.

Had a little trouble making sense of the somewhat vague trails going to #1 but did OK. I was concerned about the apparent steepness of the gorge on the straight-line route from 1 to 2, so we took a long detour, going right past #9 and having an easier descent and climb. I know this cost us time, but at my age I'm reluctant to tackle the really steep stuff. No real issues the rest of the way, although we were moving slowly the whole time. We essentially walked the entire way, being wary of tripping hazards even on trails, which in this venue are generally relatively rough. Interestingly, had a slight bobble going to #9 even though we had passed it previously, on the way from 1-2. From 8 to 9, stayed too close to the stream and had to backtrack a bit to get to 9. No major time loss, just a bit frustrating to lose any time at all on a control that I had previously encountered.

There was a rain-free period that I took advantage of to do a very short run, around the big block. Pretty windy, but not quite gale force yet. Around 60 degrees.
