Orienteering 1:04:00 [2]

Another early monring rainy session, this time north of Micmac campground. Had some really smooth legs and a couple others that were a bit slow. Its hard to keep good flow when there are no actual controls out there. You always have to do a double take after every control to make sure your in the right spot. Eventually it would be great to trust my orienteering enough so that these double takes were unneeded. Over all felt pretty good considering how technical I made the exercise today.

Orienteering 1:01:00 [1] 4.0 km (15:15 / km)

Did a training exercise down in Fundy in the morning rain. Just drew a 4km or so rout around the lookout on borth the south and north side of the highway. Over all I felt pretty good. Moving pretty slow but stay in good contact. North of the road got pretty bad because the forest was crazy thick in spots it shouldn't have been. Made for some slow running. Trying to focus on flow, although when there are no actual controls there it makes it a bit harder cuz you always have to do a double take.

Running (Trail Run) 23:40 [3] 4.7 km (5:02 / km)
shoes: Saucony Grid Tangent 3

Ran a really fast trail run at Copper Mine. Had some serious climb. I ran down a hill going about 10000km/h which was kinda fun. It felt like I was going down a crazy waterslide.

Orienteering (Sprint) 21:00 [2] 3.0 km (7:00 / km)

Drew up a sprint course on the UdeM campus map. Worked on flow, especially on coming in and out of the controls (which wern't actually there). The funny thing is, even though I drew my own course, I forgot it since it was drawn about 3 weeks ago, therefor it was as if it was a "real" race. Over all felt pretty slow but mentally with it. Supper hot out....

Running (Trail Run) 30:00 [2] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Saucony Grid Tangent 3

Ran a nice trail run at Irishtown Nature Park. Five days off of tree planting. Its so nice to have a break. Unfortunately, work starts back up tomorrow. Its at the point where my recovery time has to start right after work in order to be ready to plant well my next day. My body sure is taking a beating! I wana run but its just to hard to get out after planting 3000 trees...
