Golden Park Middle. Wonderfully detailed map by Vladimir equaled by his outstanding courses. Took two controls to get into the map. After that mostly right on with a few 10sec or less bobbles. Actually jogged about 30% of the course. I think I was able to jog so much because there were no steep hills and my heart rate stayed low.

Here is my route:

Orienteering race 41:27 intensity: (1:41 @1) + (39:28 @2) + (18 @3) 1.93 mi (21:29 / mi) +107m 18:19 / mi

Sprint the Golden Gate Land's End Sprint. Gorgeous venue overlooking the Pacific and GG Bridge. No problems on the 1st nine controls and then my mind started playing tricks on the last part of the course. A long route choice log on 10 found me in state of hesitating indecision and confusion once I decided on the route lost about 2 minutes. Walked right by 11 without checking the code. thinking I needed to go further another 2 minute blooper. Missed 12 after following the wrong trail through the fight. Lost a minute. Probably left about 6 minutes total out on the course. Way too much on sprint course. Mostly walked, Some slow jogging on some downhills on the road.

Not sure why I became irrational. Maybe when I tired the reduced oxygen to the brain was significant. It was also getting darker and reading the map became an issue, especially the indistinct trails through the green. Probably can come up with more excuses.
