Wildcat Canyon out and back. Once again hard to get going. Did not feel strong at any point in the run. So I guess the extra day off did not matter. Ran a minute and a half slower than Tuesday.

Running 49:42 [3] 5.5 mi (9:02 / mi)
slept:8.0 weight:152lbs shoes: adidas

Drove up to Tilden to do an out and back run down Wildcat Canyon. I like this run because of the rolling hills. There is a water fountain at the turn around point. Also the run back is a net climb so usually when I am warmed up I can tackle the hills. Once again felt lethargic starting off. But I got to the fountain at 24:40. Comparable to my fastest sprint times of last spring. This gave me some incentive to push it back up the canyon. 49:42 is only 32 seconds off my best time ever on this run. So even though I am feeling crappy, I guess I still have some strength.

Day off. Have to start feeling better, so maybe some rest between long runs is in order. Sat in front of the computer part of the day working on start times for the A-meet.
