Firefighter Combat Challenge tempo 1:00:00 [4]

Warm up, stretch etc then the basic FF challenge. Full gear on air 3 reps.

20 big tire flips
200yds Farmer carries with 40lbs in each arm
FF crawl across app bay and back.

3 reps is good. Used my whole bottle and did it in about 25minutes. Great workout. Training like I want to perform.

Used my HR monitor and tried to manage my HR and respiration rate.

2k yds. Shoulders tire and sore. i need to find a way to loosen them up. I feel like the are chronically injured from fire academy. I think that a good masseuse or motion specialist could help but not some gal out of masseus school. Also need to get my weight down. would like to be around 180 but just cant seem to loose any weight in the current situation.

Back from 3 days in LA. The mountains in LA looked beautiful and were calling me. I can see why Cyril and Rasputan liked living there. The whole megalopolus sucked. I was at a FF junket that involved alot of drinking. i tried to stay out of that part. Weight is back up had a great swim today and had some great times early on.

Skiing with the boys tomorrow at crystal.

Went skiing today with Matt H. First time in 15 yrs and the first time since 1979 at Hyak. Matt helped me with the new skis, boots, and skins. i can not believe how the skins can grip snow. We did three climbs and ski down. No injuries. time to get some more.

Finally feeling better from that cold last week and my times are reflecting it. Also my weight is mysteriously down 8 lbs but I haven't changed anything. I am starting at a new fire house for the new year and the guys there are crazy strong and spend alot of time in the gym each day. I am hoping that working with them will improve my strength but not break me.

Stadium Stairs. Time was better but still a few minutes off prime. No weights today. Will do a few more sessions without weight and then add.
