Checking out some points on west campus for our June 3rd event. Also, made some map updates (mostly adding/deleting individual trees). Nice to walk by Pioneer Cemetary and know that Ed is there now.

Nice dinner with Stephen tonight, followed by a stroll up Sander's Mound

I worked from home today and decided to finish early at 4 pm. Mike and I went out for a very easy bike ride.

Funeral day. The service was really nice, and there was a large turnout.
We came home and took a nap. Then I did a short yoga workout before heading to Pam's for dinner (lots of food had been donated)

An easy ride to Iowa St and back. Mike's sister Summer and her husband Silas helped us firm up funeral plans today.

Note

No exercise today. Still in shock, feel like everything is in slow motion. Went to the funeral home and then came home and got the house ready for visitors.

Nice turn out at our Burcham Park event. Blair did a great job with publicity, and offered some time bonuses: one minute each if you either 1) shared event on Facebook 2) rode a bike to the event or 3) brought kids under 18. We had tons of first-timers, so I kept busy with beginner's briefings.

When it was time for me to go out, I decided to do a shorter course since my legs were still tired from yesterday. It was an easy course, managed to keep a nice steady pace the whole way.

Got home and had a mini-disaster when I couldn't find any data in the MeOS file. Mike figured it out. Turns out our anti-virus software had put it in a blocked file. Was able to recover the basic data, but I had to manually re-add the names and calculate the elapsed times.

Note

A very sad, shocking day. Mike's dad had a heart attack and died suddenly tonight. He was 85, but was not sick and had no history of heart trouble. Mike and his step-mom were with him at the hospital. I am stunned and sad.
