I ran the World O Day course today. I had run parts of it before, but never the whole thing. I decided to run the course backwards, to add some more challenge. A bit chilly and windy to start, but sunny. It was crowded around Lied Center (it's graduation weekend).

This was a good exercise, even though I know the map well. Lots of practice on changing direction, looking ahead, and reading the map on the move.

World O Day, event on West Campus

This was a very low-key event.
100 controls in a 7 kn campus course
No markers or ribbons
I got there at 5:15, and Dick, Paul and Gene were already waiting for the 5:30 start.
Unfortunately, they were the only ones who showed up.
Gene did all 100 controls; Dick and Paul did the even numbered controls on the lower part of the map (didn't go up the hill)

While they were out on the course, I did some sprint drills in the parking lot.

We all went to Panera for dinner after, and Mike joined us there,

Note

Bought my 2015 Toyota Corolla S Plus today. Manual transmission and only 7000 miles. This is the newest car I have ever owned (and my 4th Corolla). Love the 6 speed, Bluetooth , ABS and rear view camera. Feel safer already !

Mike and I went to the Clinton trails, with a plan of being out for 90 minutes. I was tired from yesterday, so I decided to jog 4 min/walk 1 min. I went out one direction for 45 minutes, and started on the second loop. But my head, heart and legs were just not feeling another 45 minutes, so I cut it short and stopped at one hour.
