Slept in, but then jumped out of bed and straight out the door to beat the heat. Wanted to see how it felt to run, in preparation for tomorrow's o race. Plus I wanted to turn the legs over a bit to make sure they don't forget how to sprint. Took it fairly easy. Breathing was tough, but legs felt fine. Made it back just as the TdF riders started up Alpe d'Huez. Exciting finish.

Ungodly hot outside, not fit for man or beast. Even the rabbits stayed out of the backyard, hiding underground. So I did the same.

orienteer 23:20 intensity: (19:41 @1) + (3:39 @2) 2.53 km (9:13 / km) +65m 8:10 / km

I was trying to make a window map, but I didn't know how to do it in OCAD, so I resorted to paper. I randomly drew a course on a piece of blank paper, cut out the windows, then found a map to put behind it. then I drew a control circle within each window.

This was fun, and surprisingly, some controls were hard. Like 2, where all the sidewalk junctions look the same. Or leaving 8, when I kept running into walls and buildings that I had to go around.
