Mike drew me a line O at JCCC. I thought about running, but after getting almost no sleep last night and a long stressful day at work, all I could manage was a fast, steady walk. One mistake, one funky stretch of GPS track. It was funny to walk right next to the two women who were sitting on top of the hill in the middle of campus, without a comment or a break in concentration. Just right for my weekly O training this week.

Woo hoo, real sprinting! This is the first time I have sprinted since last May. It was fun, but tough. I could only make it 80 meters on the first try, then 95 then 90 (my workout was 100 meters of walk-jog-run-sprint). Lots of work to do still. But, wheeee, it was fun!

Goal was 6K at 7 min/k pace. I ran on the river trail, which is less hilly than Clinton. Also, it is sandy, with no rocks and few roots to get over. This was very tough because I was sleepy and my legs were still tired from Friday. The trail was in pretty good shape, despite all the recent rain. The only muddy section was from 2.6 to 3.4 k. It seemed like there were a lot more hills on the way back :) I had to push hard at the end to stay on pace. My legs are really tired now.
