Out at Rockhaven, putting out markers for tomorrow's event. Still about 6 inches of slushy wet snow in the woods, so the footing was slippery and took a lot more energy to get through than I was expecting. Very nice day: sunny and 45 degrees. It was also nice to be the first human on the trails. I could easily see the tracks of all the animals that had used the trail before me.

run/walk (trails) 50:00 intensity: (34:07 @1) + (14:33 @2) + (1:20 @3) 4.51 km (11:06 / km) +65m 10:21 / km

Had a frustrating day at work, and came home feeling all grumpy and in A Mood again, so I rushed out the door for a run. I knew exercise would make me feel better. I knew that running under the full moon in 45 degree temps would make me feel better. And it did, eventually. I left too quickly, and didn't bring gloves, which was not a good idea. And my legs were toast after yesterday's weight work out, so I slogged through this run.

But I did feel better (mentally) by the end, and no longer Mad at the World and ready to rip head's off for no good reason.

sprint drills (10-20-10-20) 10:00 intensity: (7:58 @1) + (2:02 @2) 0.59 mi (16:56 / mi) +1m 16:51 / mi
ahr:131 max:152

Found some clear ground (the snow is melting quickly) and did some sprint drills. Don't know if the HR monitor is off or if I'm really not pushing hard, but either way, the HR seems way low.

5 X (10 meters easy, 20 meters hard, 10 easy, 20 hard )

Skiing at Clinton. There is a permanently marked ski trail here, but I've never skied it (we rarely have enough snow). It was fun to explore on skis, and it was especially pretty with fresh snow falling. It was also good practice, since it was slightly more technical than campus. A few hills, and few turns, some messed up tracks. All good.
