Trail run at Clinton at the same time as Mike. I thought this wold be an easy 90 minute run. But it was slog the whole way. I never felt good. After 65 minutes, I started stumbling. After that I decided to turn around early and even walked part of it. Finished 5 minutes early, but I didn't care. My quads were burning and my mind was spent. Time to pack it in.

erg 16:00 [2]

Came home to thunder and lightning, torrential rain and no power. Good thing I had planned a basement workout. It was pretty dark ( we have a window well) and I listened to podcasts instead of watching TV. The only thing I missed was having the fan blowing on me. Nutty Mike went for a run in the rain.

Now we have to find a restaurant with power so we can eat dinner. One reason I miss having a gas stove.....

Cycled over to west campus to check out the new construction. This map is constantly changing. Good thing we have OCAD maps now instead of 2000 offset maps sitting in someone's basement. Although I do miss the art work....

Organized the photos from our safari in South Africa.
Photos are here and videos are here.
All taken with either an iPhone or small point and shoot. No need for big lenses!

Orienteering at the Overlook, on a course drawn by Mike. Fun to have to think about the long leg options, especially 4 to 5 (the fields to the west are not mowed, so I only considered going NW or SW). Got tired at the end, because I was running this pretty fast (guess I was pulled in by the sprint scale, and forgot that I was going to be out for an hour or so). Heard some cheers for the final finishers at the Hawk 100. route
