I was inspired by conversations on Cristina and Anna's logs to try some isovest training today. I ran one of my old Clinton 10 K courses, backwards. I tried to see the control location from as far away as possible. I wasn't sure if I should go to the point where I could see where the control WOULD be (such as seeing a side reentrant from across a big reetnrant) or if I should go until I could actually see the FEATURE (such as the trail crossing the small reeentrant). Either way, it did make me think differently, and look up more. Overall, a slow pace (on purpose) and some sloppy navigation (not planned). I seemed to be particular spacey and loopy today. Felt like my brain was thinking in slow motion.
