I was inspired by conversations on Cristina and Anna's logs to try some isovest training today. I ran one of my old Clinton 10 K courses, backwards. I tried to see the control location from as far away as possible. I wasn't sure if I should go to the point where I could see where the control WOULD be (such as seeing a side reentrant from across a big reetnrant) or if I should go until I could actually see the FEATURE (such as the trail crossing the small reeentrant). Either way, it did make me think differently, and look up more. Overall, a slow pace (on purpose) and some sloppy navigation (not planned). I seemed to be particular spacey and loopy today. Felt like my brain was thinking in slow motion.

Long driving day, with some dicey bits through rain and snow. Quick stop to look through the fence (it was closed) at Laura Ingals Wilder's house in Mansfield MO. Then, made it home in time to watch the KU basketball game. Updated my entries from this weekend (below) with Garmin tracks, and 6 second Vine videos (made by Mike).
