NOD 2012. I worked at our event on campus, on Mike's new Daisy Hill map. Weather was perfect: 70s and sunny. We had about 30 folks (17 starts) which is better than last year, but not as good as the year before. I was thrilled to see OKers Patrick and Gina Nuss, who were in town for a wedding. A good day.

Then I went out to orienteer myself. I'm practicing as if this was NAOC weekend, so today was my "middle" course. I did the NOD course, plus some controls over on West campus, too. I wasn't in to this, and just had to get it over with. Kept the pace at a jog, thinking that is the best I will be able to do if I plan to survive three tough races in one weekend. Came home and crashed on the couch for a long nap. I don't know how Lisa managed 400+ in the rain today.

I just wasn't into this run today. Mike and I went to Rockhaven, and I should have been happy with the change of scenery. But the trails had been used by lots of horses, so I had to watch my step. And they were a bit overgrown, so my legs got scratched. But the main problem was me: I was tired, and not motivated to push hard. I walked a lot more than usual, and at the end, I just gave up and walked it in. Bleah.
