Back to Wyandotte for a hilly test loop. I took it slow today, but I still expected to see some progress on the uphills, since I thought I'm stronger now than I was in 2007-2008. Nope. Guess I was really strolling out there today. Oh well. Beautiful sunny day, temps in the high 30s and rising.

My trainer is sick, and cancelled our session at the last minute. So I tried to do weights on my own. I am motivated enough to pick up the weights, but it's so boring, and I'm definitely not motivated to push myself just a bit further, so I could only manage 20 minutes at home. Made up the rest of the planned one hour of training for today on the track and erg.
Time to celebrate. I finally have a new job. I'd been looking outside the company for a while, but having no luck. Finally went with Plan B, and found another job at my current company, in a different department. Much better boss, no more supervisory duties, a promotion and pay increase! Woo hoo! Drinking champagne right now; maybe I should add that as another training type :)
I told Tom and Lisa they were welcome to stay at our place during the Possum Trot, as long as Tom didn't leave any Cowboys paraphernalia in the house. I should have said "any where on the property"
