My girlie frame bike wouldn't fit on our bike carrier, until Mike bought me an adapter for Christmas. Finally used it today, and drove the bikes to the Overlook. We rode parts of the bike trail I've never been on before (I love doing something new!) Hilly enough to make me tired by the end.

Lots a lats tonight

Note

I see that BOK is bidding for the Classic Champs in March 2012. Could the gods really be so kind? The one year In five that I work hard and try to win the champs, and both the Classic and SML are in the spring??? I can't remember the last time the US Champs were in the spring (JJ, do you know?). This could coincide perfectly with my local O season; lucky me!

Another week with lots of after work appointments. Tiring in it's own way. But it's not the same as training....

orienteer 18:28 intensity: (4 @1) + (4 @2) + (5:14 @3) + (13:06 @4) 2.17 km (8:30 / km) +15m 8:13 / km

Mike set a course for me at the Clinton Overlook. It was nice to run at competition pace on a course I hadn't yet seen. I pushed a bit, and therefore made some tiny bobbles and hesitations. This was a lot of fun, and it's amazing to compare my pace from yesterday to today, on the same trails. My route.

orienteer 14:07 intensity: (11 @1) + (15 @2) + (8:29 @3) + (5:12 @4) 1.61 km (8:47 / km) +7m 8:36 / km
ahr:155 max:171 12c

Another course set by Mike, which I hadn't yet seen. This is a small score O for an student "intro to O" course that we'll be offering on Thursday evening. No surprise that I was tired after my last two trainings, so I didn't push very hard on this course.
