Got up in time to watch the joy on Thierry's face as he finally, finally, won the relay!
Mike and I went to the trails at Clinton; I did 7/3 repeats. It was fun to be there today, because they were also running the Hawk Hundred, so there were a few trail runners and their posses out there Inspiring to know they had been running for 4 hours already, and probably had 20 more to go. (Edit: the hundred is in a few weeks; don't know why there were so many trail runners and support teams there today).
Heavy thunderstorms overnight meant slick trails and lots of downed branches, and even one or two trees. My pace was very slow, and even then, I got pretty tired by the end.

Circle training at JCCC after work. Accidentally hit "stop" instead of split for the last two controls. Can't seem to connect to sprintseries.org/DOMA right now, so I can't post my route. EDIT: Cristina has kindly fixed everything, so here is my route
This is pretty good training for me. I can push the pace a bit between controls, so I am out of breath and stressed when I have to stop and locate the next control (good relocation practice). Since I'm carrying a blank map, it's hard to keep track of where I was and where I'm going (good for both concentration and route choice training). It was also good when I got tired at the end and began to make mistakes. I think next time,I will run first and then do the training, so I get more practice at the "tired and frustrated" stage.
Dinner tonight with some girl friends. One of whom has just moved out and filed for divorce. Unexpected news, but she says she is deliriously happy with the decision. So, good for her.
Busy week, with lots of post- work plans. Managed to finish my conference call with Australian colleagues ( 5 pm here is 8 am there) early enough to grt home and squeeze in some exercise tonight.
Walking and running around to hang up markers, then standing around and talking during our two O races today. Lots of new people, which was good to see. Everyone seemed to have fun. But still typical OK event numbers: 12 and 10 starters. Unfortunately, while we may increase our % participation this year, we will never win any "total number increase" contest. Oh well, I'm happy with any improvement.

Time on track is wrong; accidentally turned the watch back on when I was in the house.
Mike and I went for a bike ride out to Sander's Mound. First time I've made the full trip, so it was long for me, ridiculously easy for Mike. Lots of other bikers out tonight. Conversation was almost exclusively about O; are we getting too boring?
