another work-at-home day, so I got out on the snow at lunch time. First time skiing this year, so it took a while to get technique back. Unlike Erin, I enjoy going down hill. It's the up hills that get me. I don't have the proper technique (or maybe strength?) to herringbone very well. So I practiced a bit of that at the end.

Day 2 of my Lawrence A meet, at Clinton State Park. 20 degrees, 5 inches of snow in the woods, but trails were packed down.
I originally planned to do my 10K course today. But I have felt some heel pain on recent mornings, and my arch was hurting yesterday. I'm terrified that plantar fasciitis will return, so I'm taking precautions. Ibuprofen, lots of icing, and plenty of cross training. And no running, for at least a week.
So I did only part of my 10K course today. And I walked the whole time. At least I got some "deliberate practice". I tried to keep moving, and I didn't bring my compass, to force me to read more map details.
I'm really frustrated that the PF may be returning. I haven't increased running, I lift weights, I stretch. I wear custom orthotics (but not in my O shoes, which I wear about once a week for an hour or so). Why oh why is it back??? Any opinions out there?
