Mike set up a nice training run to check out his new map of Dad Perry park. Gene and I ran the two loops. I say ran, but I actually walked half of the time. Partly because I didn't warm up or stretch in the beginning, but mostly because it was 80-freakin-degrees (yes, 80! degrees! 80!) in March. Body was not ready for the heat.
This was a lot of fun. Small park with incredibly dense trail network. Made one or two mistakes.
I first explored this area in December, and told Mike it would be a fun sprint area. He replied with one of those non-committal, I'm half-listening to you grunts that spouses give each other. He explored the park a few weeks ago, and came home and said it would be a great little sprint area. Really ? :)
