walk 1:00:00 [1]

hiking on the trails at Clinton. No eagles yet; wonder if the warm weather is keeping them further north?

Couple of twinges in my ankle, even though I was walking slowly on pretty flat ground. Stopped a few times to stretch. Hope it's getting better. Next week is a light week, so maybe.....

cycle 1:00:00 [2]

Had a pleasant surprise last week, when I realized I had more vacation time saved up than I thought. So I took today off. Arranged for furniture to be delivered (new guest bed!), HVAC estimate and cable repair. Met Mike for lunch at nice new restaurant downtown. And still had time to go for a bike ride, and log it before the AP clock turns over at midnight GMT. A very nice day.

This was my longest continuous bike ride yet. Tough wind sometimes, but at least it was a tail wind coming up the Kasold hill. Some body parts are protesting (seat and shoulders) but it was a glorious day to be out and I had fun.

walk 40:00 [1]

a nice hike at Clinton. Funny AOWN moment: came upon a party at the dumpster behind the Corps office. I counted 10 bodies, mostly raccoons, and one or two opossum.

Note

Massage tonight. She spent half the time working on a huge knot in my calf. The same knot that they often worked on during PT. It had disappeared for many months, but now it's back. Masseuse did not feel any inflammation in calf or arch, which is good news. She suggested stretching and hot packs. I hope I can keep it from recurring.

walk warm up/down 28:00 [1]

run 12:00 [3]

At Clinton with Mike. My foot has been sore and aching (just a bit) since last Friday, so I wasn't sure how it would feel tonight. I wanted to avoid hills, since I think I overdid them last week. So I did a long walk on the flat trails, followed by my scheduled 12 min jog on mowed grass, then more trail walking. Felt a couple of tweaks. Think I will take the week off from jogging, and go back to long slow walks.

Today was sunny and 70 degrees. When we started tonight, it was 65 degrees and cloudy. Just a few minutes later, it was 54 degrees and raining. We were soaking wet by the end. Good thing it's only a 10 minute drive home. I guess Indian summer is over.

cycle 1:00:00 intensity: (45:00 @2) + (15:00 @3)

two different trips on the bike. Out to breakfast with Mike, then to visit Dad, Pam and the dog. Later, I explored some nearby neighborhoods. Lots of people out, working in the yard. Can't believe it's 70 degrees in November. Love it.
