Ah, a much better day.
I did my test loop at Weston Bend. I have to walk up some steep sections of the loop, but I felt pretty good jogging the rest. It helps that I started 4 hours earlier than yesterday, and I was in the shade most of the time. The tooth still felt funny, but better than yesterday.
There were two drawbacks: I had my first experience with FDFs, which took full advantage as I walked up the big hill. And the woods trails were full of cobwebs; I had to run with a stick in my hand, to keep them off my face. Don't mind cobwebs on the arms and legs, but on the face---ugh!
But I shaved more than 5 minutes off my PR. I last ran this loop in January, with a time of ~53 minutes. It's nice to see such a positive reinforcement of my training. Maybe I should wait 6 more months before I run it again ? :)
