There was supposed to be a PTOC event today but they postponed it because they thought it would be too cold. Puh! I went out any way.
Couple of goals today: keep moving and avoid trails. I also gave myself only one chance to "find" the control. I made a choice and moved on, with no hunting around. I walked most of the way, just getting over my cold. And while I tried to keep moving, it may look like I stopped when I went up hills because I was moving so slowly! I did actually stop twice to tie a shoe and remove a thorn from my sock.
Didn't do too well on 2, and I kind of knew it at the time because the trails after didn't make sense. But I didn't figure it out when i "found" the control.
I missed 4 also. I can forgive myself for picking a different thicket, because there were lots of new trees and thickets in the field. But I should have picked the correct one based on where it was relative to the field edges.
This was fun training.
