Fortrose & Rosemarkie GC (83)

Stunning sunny game with Dad on the old stomping ground, really good fun match though he hammered me 4 & 3. (my front 9 scores of 4-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4 not helping)
Even with a 4 over 8 at the 11th I still came back in 39, with three birdies (12, 15 and 17)

Back still achy whole time, but not always hindering me, sometimes the wee 1/2 to 3/4 swing was working well for me.

(4-ball matchplay with Colin Matheson, my Dad and Colin's pal Dougie)

Dad and I won 5 and 3 (Dad chipped in at 15 to win match :D )

Stunning course, very long but we played off the Yellows making things a little easier. Not too bad if you don't stray far off line but punishing for a wild shot. Still I came away 1 ball better off including finding two in deep heather.
Back was a real problem early on, it did loosen off a bit but restricted backswing and was always achy.

Coaching a Short Tempo session for SRC. After an easy w/up sent them from Heugh up Westfield, down Arduthie to Robert St, up to Bath St, 10 mins out then turn and get back in 10 mins.
Few mins to recover and regroup before 5 mins out and back down Slug, up Arduthie and back.
Folk enjoyed the session, most working really hard.
I enjoyed running hard in bits... good to feel good and not break myself.

Back very sore this morning, did some stretching which had worked initially but stiff again sitting at desk.

Cruise around Stoney whilst Oli at swimming lesson, down into Mineralwell Pk, along to Market Square, up Arduthie Rd to petrol station then back to Mackie Academy.

Spotted a wee fire by the side of the railway track but other folk around to call the fire brigade anyway... lucky it wasn't a dry summer night
