Bicycling 24:00 [1]

Whoa. We will be teaching 68 classes, each about an hour long, between April 27 and June 19.

I just set up the calendar. I think you can access it in calendar.google.com under "Other calendars" by putting this in the box: vct3e73bon2ooifjfoh7e4skio@group.calendar.google.com

Bicycling 45:00 [1]

Lots of biking around Cambridge.
Met with Jason to discuss curriculum for JK-2, mapping, and jr high curriculum. We met on the map. He has to make the map though, it doesn't exist yet. (King Open school at 850 Cambridge St)

Then I went back to work and then I met up with Mike, one of our teachers who is new to me. He has done outdoor education before and will work 3 days a week, teaching 5-7 classes per week. The money will be passed through the City of Cambridge so that they deal with taxes, liability, and retirement savings (!). Mike filled out the paperwork to be employed by the City of Cambridge. He also met two of the afterschool directors:

Then I went to City Hall Annex, where I met for a long time with a very nice bureaucrat.

Then I went to Geoff's house and got him to fill out all the paperwork. There is a lot of paperwork. He chafed, but he did it.

We now have 6 teachers, 12 classes. Plus about 4 assistants provided by the school. Plus one PE teacher, teaching orienteering as an elective (two classes, grade 6, and grades 7-8).

LET'S ROLL!
