Why I like teaching orienteering part 527:
"You've really re-ignited my love of maps"

The American Heritage Girls were there again this past weekend, in Tucson. I did some fairly intensive work with them on two different occasions in previous years. One of those years our junior team girls, who were there for Erin's training camp, led AHG groups out so they could see what an elite junior would do on a course. They were really happy with the instruction and demo. I like to think that I had something to do with them enjoying it and coming back year after year. Now those girls are taller, and doing orange courses, and doing the night-O. And there are a bunch of younger kids going out on white.
