We went through a lock


Ended up on a most excellent small island with two campsites; we'd reserved them both so it was all ours and perfect for Capture the Flag, with many paths and well just perfect. A bit windy in the evening.

Adirondacks. Floodwood Lake to Upper Saranac Lake. We canoed for about 2 hours the first day. Just lovely!

Note

Just finished a whirlwind 2 1/2 days of theater-going: King of Thieves plus 3 Shakespeare plays (As You Like It, Tempest with Christopher Plummer, Winter's Tale) and a Shakespeare lite (Kiss Me Kate). Interspersed with some fine meals. Tom Garvey, David & Debbie Brackman, Mary-Ellen Zurko from the MIT Shakespeare Ensemble days are also here, and Geoff Pingree, who is traveling with us.

Today we drive a lot and end up near tomorrow's canoe trip put-in.
