Back home for a while, so it's time to start training for some foolish things this fall.
Took the PCT north for a bit, then cut up to the ridge and back over Basin, Castle, and Andesite pks. Lots of snow still behind Basin, but the ridgeline was clear. Ankles felt a little wobbly coming down the steep crap on Castle Peak, but mostly felt fine.

COCs long. More solid on navigation than yesterday, probably just from having yesterday as a model event. But all the rocky stuff underfoot was still there, and the combination of tired ankles and long course meant I was moving pretty slow towards the end. Also just in case anyone is keeping track, in no way did the 1:15000 scale benefit my run - in any of physical map size, route planning, or forced map simplification.
