hiking 1:00:00 [3]

In Moab for a couple days, because it's on the way home, sortof. Did probably 10 miles of hiking in Arches today, some of which was nice and some was sand slogging. It's pretty awesome here, but busy with tons of people.

Note

This is pretty much everything ski-o needs to be to get into the olympics.

run 37:03 [3] 5.55 km (6:41 / km) +138m 5:56 / km

In Yellowstone all last week (plus a day in Grand Teton), and not much training besides a couple hikes here and there. It's spring angry mommy bear season, and trail running is pretty much everything they say not to do when you spook a bear. Took lots of pictures though.

Now I'm in Dinosaur! National Park on the Utah / Colorado border. Also I've decided that similar to the training activity known as "ski-o!", the word dinosaur! should always be followed by an exclamation point. Went for a run from the campsite here, along the river in a nice colorful layered sandstone canyon. Didn't see any dinosaur[!]s, but maybe they only come out in the morning. Saw lots of bunnies, some loud geese, and a perfectly spherical basketball sized cactus that I totally didn't kick.
