Saturday we went for a ski in the other direction along the road, which they hadn't started plowing for the spring yet. Plenty of hard corn snow, with a couple inches of new fluff on top from last night. The fatty skis which I almost never use actually worked fairly well, though the boots still hurt my toes after a couple hours. Totally out of the wind today, so it was nice the whole time.

Carol had Friday off for Easter, so we went up to Crater Lake for the weekend. They've started plowing the rim road in one direction, so we went that way for a while along the bare road, then snowshoed up to the top of something called The Watchman, which was respectably high above the lake. Pretty windy all day, so it was randomly chilly whenever we were exposed, which was most of the time.
Down through the valley, and back on the new singletrack they cut last year. It took the winter quite well, and is totally solid and ridable now (as opposed to the loose sandy sidehill dirt it was last year).
