Made it to Uppsala, then we ran over to NĂ¥sten from home. Had a map with a course on it, but most of the controls were far away. So I ran a few but mostly just read things off the map. Made some sense, not too much, but by the end I was doing legit navigation on actual mapped features.

Note

Took tons of photos in Costa Rica, and I've gotten through maybe 2/3s of them so far. These are all from the first week, nearby to Carate, where our house had no walls and it was pretty much like living inside a zoo: one, two, three. The rest will have to wait until after Tiomila.

Ran an old sprint course down at Donner Lake, then ran it backwards.

Back to Burton Creek with Carol and Anna. Different course this time, now with more snow. Not really much more, just enough to keep the feet wet the whole time. I was trying to straight line everything for maximum orienteeringitude, and did ok for the most part. Got a little lost on 8-9-10, but the feature 9 is on doesn't exist anymore and the whole place is piles and piles of really thick deadfall, so that one doesn't count. Also I ran for the exact same time as Thursday.
