Boggs Mt blue long. Ok-ish run, a bunch of trail legs I nailed, a few in the woods that didn't go as well, and then some stupid mistakes at the end after I was tired from running straight up 30 contours. Fortunately I figured out the swapped code numbers right away so I didnt lose any time there. And didn't get stung by any bees. qr.

Easy ride with Carol around TD, and checking out one of the new sections of mtb trail they just cut last week. They're in there with the chipper-muncher making another section of the forest into sweet orienteering terrain.

Last wednesday night race for the season, getting too dark now. We'll probably have another week or two of actual night-o's and then call it for the year.

Today's map at TD.

Mr Dobbs is here to visit on his epic road trip, so we went down to Burton Creek after Carol got off work and ran an old green course. Took an awesomely bad parallel route to 5 and got lots of lost, finally bailed to the next one and then figured out what I had done when I ran through the circle after a few hundred meters. No big problems after that, though it was getting dark by the end so I had to stop to see the map.

Long ride north towards Sagehen. From home, down the super windy singletrack to Carpenter Valley, then some bonus extra crappy singletrack down Prosser Creek, then across the creek and out the power lines up to Penny Pines. Then up some fireroads to try to find the fabled high traverse of Mt. Penny Pines, which rumor (and google) had suggested might exist. In the end I was defeated by many dead ends, and decided to head home due to a dwindling supply of agua and disgusting strawberry-banana power-chew things. Back along the power lines and then onto a super crappy pea-gravel-in-dust fire road, which Jonas and I had run before, but it turns out it sucks a lot to ride. Then down a new sneaky singletrack (not connected at either end) across Prosser Creek and back up to home.
