the house was cold, so I went for a run. it seems that doesn't actually warm up the house much.

So it turns out this gets a whole lot easier after you scrape the summer wax off. It probably would have been even more awesome if I had then put actual glide wax on as well. But you don't want to jump into these things too fast.

Got another six inches last night. Yea winter. Now will somebody please start grooming? There's at least two feet on top. k thx.

Got my firewood dump this morning, so I spent a lovely hour hauling that around and stacking it into the garage, dodging plow trucks at the same time. But the house is now well on its way to the other side of 45 degrees, which will be lovely. I thought the wood I had last year was dense, but this stuff is the shizzle. Good thing I got a load of pine too, otherwise I'd never get it lit.

Anyway went out for a sweet dp around the TD trails, which weren't groomed but enough people had been around that there was a very solid track. Did a couple laps along a nice rolling fire road section on the back side until my arms wanted to fall off, then a little bushwhacking to get back down. We should have a ski-o now, there's enough snow to go anywhere, but its the last time poles will actually hit anything solid until April.

Note

rest day. lots of snow falling all day, but not too much sticking to the ground, maybe a couple inches by nighttime. still going strong though, so hopefully it'll start stacking up once it gets colder tonight.

went down to reno and got oatmeal and a new laptop. not sure which one is more awesome. getting home was exciting, it was dark by then and the highway was a disaster between the rain and snow and lots of crazy people everywhere. and then I cooked dinner and got jalapeno in my eye.
