hiking 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Went up to the Libre Range, north of LA about an hour. Started with a hike out along a fire break to Sawtooth Mt, which since the firebreak just goes along the ridge had a few big ups and downs (2000' worth).

mtn bike 2:00:00 [3] 22.0 mi (11.0 mph)

Then got out the mt bike to ride some fireroads. The first one, Burnt Pk, wasn't actually burned at all, but had an access road (closed) up it so they can get to the creepy looking FAA radar station on top. The second, Liebre Mt, was plenty burned, and had a road right up and over it (there's a campsite on the summit), but wheres the fun in driving that. So I did a long out and back (16 miles) on the fireroad from where I left the car, which was along the ridge and nice for about half of it, but had a pretty big drop+climb in the middle. Definitely more mt biking than I've done in a while, my legs hurt from all the climbing on sandy roads.
