skate ski race 2:47:28 [3] 42.0 km (3:59 / km)

Royal Gorge gold rush.
Not so good of a race. Very soft snow, very gusty winds, no so much oxygen, it was just a lot of work. Caught a tip in the crap on the side of the trail about 2k into it, the ski popped off and I wiped out in a glorious ball of fluff. I couldn't really push with my feet because they'd randomly break through the snow, I couldn't really pole since they'd randomly go in quite a bit, so my lack of technique quickly degraded into a hip-driven waddle. Which after 3 hours really hurt my back, and also my fingertips for some reason. Also forgot my sunglasses, so I was squinting against the sun (yea at least it was blue sky) the entire time, and now I have a red horizontal sunburn line across the middle both eyeballs. Thats probably not good.

skate ski 1:00:00 [2] 8.0 km (7:30 / km)

If I drove all this way I might as well get 50 out of it.
