run 1:46:00 [2] 10.4 mi (10:12 / mi)

Palisades to the hub, then the eagle rock loop. Stupidly hot today, and I didn't wait long enough to start (just after 5), it was still up in the high 90s. At least it was a little breezy.

Got some new runnings shoes, I tried to get them in D width instead of the normal EEEE, just to see if they would work (since they're a lot easier to find). Sadly no, they don't work. Many raw spots all over the toes.

roller ski 1:08:45 [4] 19.6 km (3:30 / km)
shoes: v2s #1

hills: 5:23, 5:23, 5:30 (L), 5:20 (L), 5:33, 5:50 (L)

Note

Since I broke all the easy bike parts during RAAM, I've moved on to the more difficult ones now. I got two blocks home from work today (on the crappy mt bike) and my back wheel sorta fell off. I'm not really sure what this piece is actually called, its not the quick release skewer, but the next tube outwards on the back wheel. The one that supports all the weight (and is usually one piece), and holds all the little ball bearings in there. Well turns out mine is now in two pieces, and all the little ball bearings are spread around the intersection of Wilshire and Westwood Blvds. But it was a lovely walk home.

shoes: v2s #1

hills: 601, 550 (L), 522, 541 (L), 556 (L)
hit a stick on the way down the last one and had a fairly fantastic wipeout. Fortunately I was pretty close to the side so I managed to dive onto the grass, but unfortunately this is LA and we don't have grass, so I spent a few minutes picking gravel out of my elbow and hip.
