Kevin couldn't make it yesterday but still wanted to get out this week, so who am I to turn down a chance to get up at 5am? We went up exploring the rich kid's neighborhood on Amalfi, great roads, great views, no traffic at all. A couple crazy steep hills, but nothing unmanageable between the speed reducers and the brake. Pretty slow because of the hills.

For those of you keeping track (dad), this brings it up to a nice round 252.5 km for the fall. You better hope you get a lot of wet-leaf skiing in before colorado...

six loops around the San V hill, with a short flat loop at the beginning to loosen up a little. did the first couple before dawn, but the full moon was out so could see fine.

orienteering 1:23:00 [3] 6.0 km (13:50 / km)

LAOC Firestone. got stuck in some super thick green a few times to lose 5+ minutes (each) on three consecutive legs. a little frustrating, since the map was pretty inconsistent. route choice for most was either the double-length long way around on the trail, or the straight line route that had a 25% chance of being unmapped thicket. but the nice parts of the map are really nice, so it really wasn't too bad of a day.
