good morning ride down to the beach, up into the palisades and then up and back mandeville canyon.

been reading up on how to make strong bike wheels, and apparently the spokes need to be a lot tighter than I had mine. I cranked them all down a bunch (probably still not enough) and didn't seem to have any problems, so I guess I'll go tighter next time.

finally got around to mounting the brake on these things, which turns out to work quite well. also put the new roller ski ferrules onto the poles, which don't really make much of a difference other than the knowledge that I'm not destroying my snow baskets.
