Active Farmers Run for Resilience. Loop course out from Mangoplah footy ground: started along mown strips beside very healthy wheat and canola crops and then onto farm tracks, past inquisitive cattle on the way home. A really different and nice place to run. Struggled with breathing at the start, just couldn't get enough air in so dropped back almost to the back of my start block. Started to feel better after a couple of kms and managed to pass a few others. Suffered badly afterwards with the arthritis in my big toe. Am looking at options, including joint fusion, as it also impacts my golf! Doctor told me I won't be able to run as fast afterwards. My answer was I don't run fast anyway!

This was a fund raiser for Active Farmers, a locally founded group that is encouraging farm families to get into exercise, for physical and mental health reasons, and the 500 field limit filled up really quickly.
