First crack at Wagga Parkrun. Cool morning, not an overly exciting course but a good run. Considerably slower than Bateman's Bay run but was conserving energy for golf later on the day:-0

Morning run along the rapidly dropping river, with Deb for first 1 km then I picked up my pace (slightly!) to see how the hip responded and it was pretty good. Nice brekkie afterwards.

Orienteering race (Interclub #1) 59:24 [4] *** 5.04 km (11:47 / km) +125m 10:29 / km

Interclub #1 with AWOC at Burrandana on a Wolfram map that is showing its age, with numerous track and fence changes as well as some significant vegetation changes whilst the rock in some areas needs re-mapping too. Ran the short hard as (1) Waggaroos had plenty of runners on the longer course, (2) I didn't think the extra climb on the long would do my hip any good and (3) it was hot as I started late after looking after Ryder whilst Deb and Briohny ran earlier!

A reasonable run apart from a major blow-out on #2 where I failed to see the track option and then lost my bearings going over the spur. This cost me about 8 minutes! Only other error was on the last where I got too high in the rock. Hip held up OK but have no speed so hoping NSW champs at Armidale in 2 weeks are very technical with little fast run!
