Note
(injured)

Easter Day 3. Bailed on the run today as right foot is not great so don't want to make it any worse. Already have a Drs appt on Thursday so will add this to the list!

Orienteering race (Easter Day 2) 1:14:23 [5] **** 7.98 km (9:19 / km) +147m 8:32 / km
spiked:12/15c shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Very disappointing effort after promising run yesterday. Missed 2 controls badly: #1 went to far left and struggled to relocate once in the gully system. Eventually worked it out but lost at least 6 minutes. Good through to 7 and on starting short leg to 8 told myself this was a danger control! Didn't listen however and thrashed around in the green losing about 8 minutes. Rest were OK apart from misreading the tracks exiting 11. Right foot was sore after yesterday and worse today.

spiked:17/19c shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

At Isaacs Ridge in Canberra's south. Ominous looking big hill but after the steep climb to the start, course was pretty good except for long slog 4 up to 5. Only big error was getting 4 before 3 which was frustrating, costing me probably 1-2 minutes. Smaller error when stopped short on 14. Rob V caught me on 4 to 5 leg but managed to hang on to him until 10 and then lost him in the pine! LONG way behind Warren (41ish) but surprisingly inside top 10: 8th dead heat with Geoff T.

Orienteering race (Easter Public Prologue) 23:34 [5] *** 4.19 km (5:37 / km) +55m 5:17 / km
spiked:22/23c shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 16 Blue

Ran Hard 1 and started with a young guy. We basically ran the whole race together with a few different route choices. Was good to have someone to push me along. Only real error was on 2 where I started to go right before reading the map and then saw the uncrossable walls and had to back track.
