Running race (Roadies at San Isadore) 40:46 [5] 8.23 km (4:57 / km) +110m 4:39 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 13

First Roadies in a bout 6 weeks!. Staretd early so I could get home and then to Briohny's to watch the AFL GF :-(

Ran with Carmel for the first 1.5km, including the climb and was feeling OK. Carmel started to pull away a bit as we came to the 3rd cattle grid and after she crossed, a big King Brown popped his head up! I stopped in my tracks and let him slide back into the grid. I then waited for Deb, who was just behind us, to let her know about the snake.

After that, I picked up my pace and ran pretty well for the rest of the course, which is hilly but in nice bush for most of the way. Carmel hadn't seen the snake and was a bit alarmed when I told her after the run!

Afternoon run from the back gate down to Kooringal Rd and then on the bike path to the railway viaduct then back again. Pretty warm but good to have a hit out after an all-day meeting.

Quick lap of the Lake after work. Pretty cold again today after a bit of a false spring over the weekend. Happy with the run, fastest in a while.

Cycling 54:09 [3] 20.41 km (2:39 / km) +144m 2:34 / km

Morning cycle from home down to Kooringal Rd, then down to the river and along the levee to the Wiradjuri Bridge. Along Travers St and around the racecourse into Moorong St, Pearson St and over the railway bridge into Glenfield Rd. South to Red Hill Rd, east and up and over the ridge, where a small mob of kangaroos was playing havok with the traffic as they crossed from Tatton Ridge into Tolland, and then onto the back streets of Kooringal and home again via Sherwood Ave (where I was swooped again) and Kilpatrick St.
