Note

Comp golf: 38 stableford points. Played reasonably well but left a few out there. Driving was only average so scrambled well and putted well too for a change.

Running 41:30 [3] 7.6 km (5:28 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 12

Afternoon run from home on Rocky Hill and out along Kooringal Rd and back via the Cemetery. Felt pretty good for most of the run but the last km or so was feeling decidely unwell. In the end I realised it was probably just hunger! Note to self: eat something more substantial than a row of chocolate bar before next run!

Running 30:45 [3] 5.0 km (6:09 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 12

Nice morning run with Briohny and Deb at Lake Albert. Due to the track damage from the weekend, started at the Boat Club and ran north along the western side for 2.5km then turned around and went back. Might not be too many more of these runs with Briohny for a while as I think she might be nearly ready to stop running until after the bub is born.

Cycling 43:20 [3] 15.8 km (2:45 / km)

Afternoon cycle out to Rawlings Park then down to the Lake, around the east and north side to Lansdowne Ave and home via Plumpton and Kooringal Rds. Fair amount of water still in Rawlings though paths were dry, if somewhat chopped up. First cycle in quite a while and felt it in the hammies especially when pushing into the head wind.

shoes: Salomon Trail

Deb and I waited out the rain (we've had 230mm since Tuesday with 110mm since yesterday morning) and had planned a lap of the Lake for Deb and a part lap and then home for me. We drove to the Boat Club car park and noticed the water level was quite a bit higher than Friday, well into the golf course. We got about 100m from the car and then saw that the running track now had a 5m wide and 2m deep gulf with a raging torrent of water across it where Stringy Bark Ck used to go under in a culvert!

Back to the car to grab the phone to take a few photos and be joined by a TV helicopter filming the carnage. We drove around to Apex Park and I then ran home via the northern and western sides of the Lake (the track was underwater in a number places), Lansdown Ave, Plumpton and Kooringal Rds. Deb did and out and back run from Apex Park.

Very humid after all the rain but good to get some exercise.
