On my physio's advice, I tried some hill intervals this afternoon. He wants me to start putting the hammy under a bit more stress.
Nothing excessive, just 3 repeats up a 300m section of Red Hill Rd. Splits were pretty even and not quick by any measure: 1.22, 1.21, 1.23 with 2 minute slow recovery back down the hill. Hammy definitely felt tight whilst running but no after effects.
Time includes 10 minute warm up/down from and back home on a very warm afternoon.
