Note
slept:9.0 weight:172lbs (injured)

Having been out in the forest a long while on Saturday. I skipped the QOC Lake Accotink meet. There was virtually no chance at making the Stumble either :( I worked on my computer in-between watching Samantha (and Max to a lesser extent) for most of the day. I'd chased her around in a pillow fight and pushed her on her new scooter too. However, after sitting a long while, I noticed that my back was really tight when I got up. It loosened after some stretching and walking but tightened again when I sat. I didn't think that a run would help it and I had enough other stuff to do.

Running (Trail) 30:05 [3] 3.5 mi (8:36 / mi)
slept:7.5 weight:174.5lbs

Potomac Falls, VA. After visiting my mom and waiting-out rush hour traffic I finally got a chance to checkout the Seneca Tract or Seneca Park along the Potomac River, off of Seneca Rd. The park is similar to many of the riverside parks though not quite as open as Great Falls, MD. There are many trails there. I almost did a perimeter run. On the way out I took the Seneca Bridal Trail until I hit the gravel trail paralleling the Potomac River, and the Heritage Trail. I followed the gravel trail most of the way back. I'd intended to take a ridge or connector trail back but without a map, I missed the turn-off. The gravel road was probably easier to run on. The Bridal Trail was nice, crossing a lot of smaller reentrants. The woods seemed to have a lot of Beech tree saplings but had open areas too. It'd make a nice training area if someone had the time to map it. Too bad that I'd left my GPS at home.
