Running warm up/down (Warm-up) 17:18 [2] 2.93 mi (5:54 / mi)
slept:8.0

In East Fork State Park, OH on the Turkey Ridge map for the Flying Pig US Short Course Championships. The warm-up was odd in that it passed the finish and Go control en-route. Raining, windy and cold, the almost 3K really helped in getting me ready to get on the course.

Flying Pig US Short Course Championships. In East Fork State Park, OH on the Turkey Ridge map. I had an early start. Temperatures were about 40F. A steady light rain came down and it started getting windy. It had rained all night so the course was sloppy wet. It made the usual steep and slippery Ohio hillsides worse but I felt comfortable running. I didn't plan routes very well and didn't see the best options. This got me caught-up in bad thorns on leg 6 and I left 7 confusing the short leg with the short leg from 8 to 9. See the Split List.
