Pull-ups 1 [5]
Okay, I figured that the 13 yesterday just wasn't reflective of my capabilities, so today I really went for it. I put on my heaviest hiking boots, just for good measure, and did them on the doorframe like when I first started in January, fingertip-style. Being careful not to relax the muscles and dislocate my shoulders again, I just kept grinding them out until I had to stop because I was getting really hungry. For roast attack badger.
Tomorrow maybe I'll try climbing a beanstalk.
[edit] Okay, April Fool. Not really 57 pull-ups. Number now corrected. (For the sake of honesty, I really did put on the boots and do one fingertip pull-up in the doorway, just so I could let the training entry stay. And also did the 9 regular daily ones.]
Running in terrain 56:38 [3]
Mystery Blazes loop, with a couple of variations. Explored a couple of pink ribbon bypass trails, one in Hickory Hills that gets around the worst of the mud, another that goes from the Mystery Blazes trailhead and loops back to the ruined wall junction. Then I just went through the woods up the hill to pick up the Mystery Blazes by the vernal pool, and took them to the Enigma road, then upstream to the crossing log and home.
AOWN report: a group of three deer were scooting around for a while in front of me presumably trying to flee, but repeatedly heading off in the direction I was going. Then I scared up a large bird (probably a turkey, but possibly a pheasant) that took off running, never spreading its wings. Pretty cool.

Normal, garage-bar pullups.
